Music & Chorus
Our Music Minister, Mrs. June Stevenson Miller, was called to Corkran Memorial UMC in the Spring of 2005. She was delighted once again to work with God's children in a church that upholds the Word of God, has a caring and loving congregation, and a pastor that endeavors to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Along with performing as our organist and pianist, June leads and directs the church choir and organizes many special musical guests and performances. Please check our Corkran Memorial News and Events for her upcoming special programs.

As early as her pre-teen years, June began playing in churches on a regular basis, along with her mother, who was the organist. Throughout her primary and secondary school years, she was a scholarship student at the Preparatory Department of the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester. She went on to Houghton College, where she traveled for four years with the Gospel team, Youth in One Accord, going in churches of numerous denominations, with emphasis on the revival of people of God. Just last summer she was asked to return to Houghton to direct a Youth in One Accord reunion choir. It was a blessed experience for all.

After receiving a Bachelor of Music degree from Houghton, she returned to Eastman School of Music to earn a Master of Music degree. She has taught on the college level, and has continued to teach piano and music theory along with ministering in music in several churches over the years. The concerts she has given have been both Sacred Concerts and Classical, in numerous churches in mostly the Eastern United States.
